Plasma cutting is best described as a process to cut through materials that are electrically conductive. It can be used to cut steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and other conductive metals. The process uses ionized gas in a high-velocity jet to heat, melt, and then blow away the metal, leaving a finished piece cut to precise specifications.
